Camp Eureka Summer Session Days Released!

Posted on March 15, 2010

Camp Eureka will be held on:

June 7-11, 2010 and June 14-18, 2010

We will be hosting Basic and Advanced NXT Sessions for both of those weeks.

A new subject has been introduced!

Scratch Programming

http://scratch.mit.edu/

Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web.As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.

The Scratch curriculum is currently in development and there is a chance that this class will be kept. Scratch is tentative to change.

The Enrollment form will be released soon. Stay updated!

BLOG – New Renovations

Posted on January 1, 2010

Our Booster Parent organization is now named: Hilo Viking Robotics. A new contact E-mail for the HVR has been created. All E-Mails sent to the address is automatically forwarded to the president of the HVR. The E-Mail can be located by pressing the Contact tab on the Navigation Bar.

We now have a new website management system and makeover. Our website is now more user friendly and has some of our websites integrated into one. Blog posts from Camp Eureka, our original blog, and VEX has been imported as well. Images are now organized into Galleries for easy use. The integration of Botball and FIRST will commence during the month of January. This new website has been launched December 31st, 2009 in time for January 1st, 2010.

I encourage all members to register an account here. Registration will be open for the first two weeks of January.

Because of the easy access to this website, the webmasters will do their best to keep on updating the club members and community through this informational blog and website.
